Businesses and Organisations

Although the profile of Linux and open source software in Zambia is small, there is (just as in businesses across the world) a lot of OSS being used - for example, email and web servers as well as open programming languages like PHP, Perl and Python. In particular, NGOs and educational institutions tend to find that the cost benefits and the growth of local expertise that happens when you use open source solutions match their missions neatly.
